Good Morning everyone. Thank everyone for attending this Sunday Sangha service.

Last week, we had a Dharma school picnic at the Riverside Park. It was a sunny day, but it was not too hot for me. During 2004-2005 Dharma school term, I sometimes attended 8th grade class to see what are they doing.

When I was in Japan, I was a biology teacher for high school students at a private school for 3 years. But, at the Dharma school class, I felt it is difficult to communicate with young students in English. They speak so fast. I felt their speaking speed liked …fast-forward of a tape cassette!

But I want to continue to attend the class. It is a good opportunity to practice English and to teach something about Buddhism.

I have a Buddhist study class on every Monday morning. We have already finished 2 semesters. During the class, I have many questions. I can answer their some questions the right away but I cannot answer their some other questions when I received them.

So I have to check and find those answers for them. Sometimes I spent just one hour to find the answer but sometimes I spent whole week to find the answer. It was for the study class but also it was for my study.

When I was belonged the private school as a biology teacher, I also learned more about biology. It is difficult to teach something for the people.

But when we teach something for other people, we have to know more about it. And we sometimes want to know more about it.

During summer vacation, we have more opportunity to meet children. I hope everyone try to teach something to them, not only regular school study. If you know about a crafting, please share your experience and knowledge. Are you good at playing basketball? Please share your technique!

To teach something for other is to learn something from other. It is good experience and opportunity for us to share our experience and knowledge.

 We say “sharing the Dharma”.

Sharing is most good way to keep up for everyone.
